Terms of Use
Last updated: October 6, 2026. These terms cover the GoodLifeTask apps for Android and iPhone and the website at goodlifetask.com (together, “GoodLifeTask”, “we”, “us”).
1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using GoodLifeTask you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data. If you don’t agree, please don’t use GoodLifeTask.
2. Who can use GoodLifeTask
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use online services without a parent’s consent where you live (for example 16 in parts of Europe), to create your own account. Younger family members may use GoodLifeTask only with a parent or guardian who manages the family and takes responsibility for their use.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your email address up to date so we can reach you.
- Keep your password and devices secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away at support@goodlifetask.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
- If you own a family, you choose who to invite and you can remove members.
4. Acceptable use
Use GoodLifeTask lawfully and respectfully. Don’t:
- use it to harass, threaten, track or spy on anyone, or share someone else’s information without their permission;
- send false I Feel Unsafe alerts or misuse family alarms to frighten people;
- upload anything illegal, harmful or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- try to break into, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer GoodLifeTask, or get around plan limits or security;
- resell or rent access to GoodLifeTask.
5. Your content
You own what you put into GoodLifeTask — your tasks, reminders, lists, notes, messages and recordings. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can run GoodLifeTask for you and the people you share it with, as described in the Privacy Policy. When you share something with your family or other people, they can see it. You are responsible for having the right to share what you add.
6. Plans, subscriptions and auto-renewal
- Free — $0.00. Unlimited tasks typed in by hand, supported by ads. Scanning and uploads are part of paid plans.
- Pro — $4.99 per month. Unlimited tasks, no ads.
- Family — $9.99 per month. Everything in Pro for up to 5 family members, including the owner.
Prices are in US dollars; the store may show them in your local currency and add local taxes. If we change a price, we’ll tell you in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal.
Billing. Paid plans are billed through the store you subscribe with — the Apple App Store, Google Play or our web checkout — and that store’s terms also apply to your payment.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period and you are charged for the next period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time: on iPhone in your Apple ID subscription settings, on Android in Google Play subscriptions, or on the web from Settings in your account. After you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a store subscription. See Support for step-by-step instructions.
Free trials. If a plan comes with a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
Refunds. Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. For web purchases, contact us. Nothing here limits refund rights you have under the law.
7. Ads on the Free plan
The Free plan shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Paid plans have no ads. How ads use data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
8. Reminders only — not medical or emergency help
- I Feel Unsafe is not an emergency service. It alerts the family members or contacts you chose; it does not contact police, ambulance or fire services. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number. See the I Feel Unsafe Terms of Use.
- Medicines. GoodLifeTask is an organisation tool. You enter your own medicines and your own schedule from your prescription or label, and GoodLifeTask reminds you at the times you set and keeps track of your stock and what you marked. It does not give medical advice, dosage information or diagnosis, and it does not identify medicines — ask a doctor or pharmacist. It cannot tell whether a medicine was taken, only whether a dose was marked in the app; a family alert (Family plan, off by default) means a dose was “not marked as taken”, nothing more. Always follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions.
- Documents are expiry reminders only. GoodLifeTask does not check that a document is valid or tell you what you need to renew it.
- IVAK, the assistant, can make mistakes. Check the tasks and reminders it creates.
9. Notifications and alerts
We work hard to deliver reminders, notifications, family alarms and I Feel Unsafe alerts on time, but we can’t guarantee that they will be delivered, or delivered on time. Delivery depends on things outside our control, such as your device, its settings and battery saving, the permissions you’ve given, your network, and services run by Apple, Google, email and SMS providers. Don’t rely on GoodLifeTask as your only reminder for anything where a missed or late reminder could cause harm or loss.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using GoodLifeTask and delete your account at any time from Settings in the app or on the web, or by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people or GoodLifeTask at risk, or where the law requires it; where reasonable we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to export your data. These sections continue after your account ends: Your content, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability and Contact.
11. Disclaimers
GoodLifeTask is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we may change, add or remove features over time. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, GoodLifeTask is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, including losses caused by a missed, late or failed reminder or alert. Our total liability for any claim about GoodLifeTask is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as GoodLifeTask changes or the law requires. We’ll update the date at the top, and if a change is significant we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using GoodLifeTask after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
