Frequently asked questions
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot? in the app (or Forgot password? on the web) and enter your email address. We’ll email you a link to choose a new password. If you signed up with Google, Apple or Microsoft, sign in with that button instead — there is no separate GoodLifeTask password to reset.
How do reminders and notifications work?
When you add a task with a date and time, GoodLifeTask sends a reminder to your devices at that time. For reminders to arrive on time:
- Allow notifications for GoodLifeTask when the app asks (or in your phone’s settings).
- On Android, allow alarms and reminders, and turn off battery optimisation for GoodLifeTask if reminders arrive late.
Notifications depend on your device, its settings and your network, so please don’t rely on GoodLifeTask alone for anything critical.
How do medicine reminders and family alerts work?
You add a medicine and the times from your own prescription or label. At those times the GoodLifeTask phone app reminds you, and you tap Taken, Snooze or Skip. Reminders ring on the phone where you are signed in, so allow notifications for GoodLifeTask. GoodLifeTask never gives dosage or medical advice and cannot tell whether a medicine was taken, only whether a dose was marked in the app.
Family alerts are part of the Family plan and are off by default. Only if you turn them on and agree, the family members you pick get a notification and an email when one of your doses is not marked as taken within the time you chose. A parent or guardian who owns the family can turn them on for a child member, and you can turn them off at any time in Medicines → Family alerts.
Getting alerts you no longer want? Open any family alert email and use the Stop receiving these link, then confirm. You stop getting that person’s alerts straight away; their own reminders are not affected.
How many people can join a Family plan?
A Family plan covers up to 5 members, including the person who owns it. The owner invites the others from the Family screen. Shared tasks, the family chat, shared food and medicine lists and family alarms are visible to everyone in the family; personal tasks stay private unless you share them.
Is I Feel Unsafe an emergency service?
No. I Feel Unsafe alerts the family members or contacts you chose and shares your location with them while the alert is active. It does not contact the police, ambulance or fire services, and alerts can be delayed or fail. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (for example 911, 112 or 999).
See the I Feel Unsafe Privacy Notice and the I Feel Unsafe Terms of Use.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Plans are bought on the website, so you cancel there: sign in on the web, go to Settings → Plan & billing and choose Manage billing. You can cancel, switch between Pro and Family or change your card there. Or email us and we’ll cancel it for you.
After you cancel, your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting your account also cancels your plan, so you are not charged again.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and its data yourself, at any time:
- On your phone (Android or iPhone): open the GoodLifeTask app, go to Settings → Delete Account and confirm.
- On the web: sign in, open Settings, scroll to the Danger Zone, choose Delete Account and type DELETE to confirm.
- Without the app: email support@goodlifetask.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We’ll do it for you.
What happens next: you are signed out on every device and all notifications stop straight away. Your data — your account, tasks, lists, documents, medicines, food, subscriptions, messages, photos, recordings and I Feel Unsafe data — is then deleted automatically within 30 days. During those 30 days you can contact support to restore your account. After that, we keep only a minimal record that the account was deleted (no name and none of your content), as the Privacy Policy explains. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Deleting your account also cancels a paid plan bought on the website, so you are not charged again.
